Spotlight on Sponsorship! The National Association of Military Moms and Spouses!

by Stephanie Lochmiller

3 12 2012

As a way to draw increased awareness and attention to some of the standup sponsorship opportunities on our site, we’ve set apart one blog per month to put the “Spotlight on Sponsorship”! If you have a premium level listing on SponsorPark, and would like to have your event featured, please contact [email protected] to submit your event, as we are currently looking to fill our 2013 Spotlight calendar. This month our spotlight shines on the “National Association of Military Moms and Spouses (NAMMAS).”

What is NAMMAS all about?
NAMMAS is the premier social support network for military moms of service members and spouses. Founded in 2009 by an Air Force spouse challenged with deployment, NAMMAS is home to thousands of mom and spouses who mentor each other military lifestyle challenges and who celebrate the successes of members.

NAMMAS hosts Prosper Where You're Planted Boost Camp in the fall of the year. It is the only motivational and inspirational event designed to give military spouses and women veterans the tools and solutions they need to create the life they want with the military life they get.

NAMMAS has been featured in front of more than 20 million people through national media including Military Spouse Magazine, Lifetime Television Network, NBC Nightly News Making a Difference, Good Morning America, CNN, Fox News, and The Huffington Post.

What makes this opportunity unique?
Military mothers and spouses are proud of the fact that theirs is a $21 trillion market that is 30% more brand loyal than any other consumer.  NAMMAS works hard to build value in their packages and work with sponsors to make sure their needs are being met.  They have a strong focus on building relationships and understand the power of a mutually beneficial partnership.

Surviving sponsorship in a heated economy
To extend their reach and to gain access to additional sponsors, NAMMAS has turned to SponsorPark.  According to event organizers, they like the ease in which they are able to build a proposal and direct potential sponsors to it.

Preferred partners?
According to event organizers, a broad range of brands could benefit from partnering with their program.  Energy drinks offer a strong connection to their “Boost Camp,” as do health and wellness companies.  Because many NAMMAS members are just starting out life in the military, buying and selling homes and working on savings plans, banks and insurance companies offer a great partner fit.  In addition, automobile, moving and shipping companies also offer strong partnership potential.

Spotlight on Sponsorship - The Haunted Hotel Ball

by Stephanie Lochmiller

16 10 2012

As a way to draw increased awareness and attention to some of the standup sponsorship opportunities on our site, we’ve set apart one blog per month to put the “Spotlight on Sponsorship”! If you have a premium level listing on SponsorPark, and would like to have your event featured, please contact [email protected] to submit your event, as we are currently looking to fill our 2012 Spotlight calendar. This month our spotlight shines on the “Haunted Hotel Ball.”

What is the Haunted Hotel Ball all about?
The Haunted Hotel Ball is quickly becoming the number one Halloween costume party brand in the U.S. for adults 21-35.  It boasts events in Chicago and Scottsdale and producers, Global Adrenaline, are bringing the event to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas for 2012.
Haunted Hotel Ball combines elements of a VIP nightclubbing experience, with the terror of a haunted house and the exclusiveness of a hotel gala. Party-goers get dressed up in elaborate costumes to compete against other party goers at each Haunted Hotel Ball event for a chance to win a cash prize in a virtual contest.

What makes this opportunity unique?
This highly visible event provides exposure opportunities and serves as a platform for consumer engagement and corporate hospitality. Programs are available for each market independently or can be packaged together.  The Ball has been aligning with haunted houses and costume shops to leverage cross-promotional opportunities including social media and the results have provided extended exposure and produced new consumers.

Surviving sponsorship in a heated economy
Event organizers have seen that in recent years sponsors are more interested in providing an experience at these events than they are in logo placement.  Because of this shift, event organizers are actively working to create custom packages for sponsors that integrate their brand into the event.  They’ve also turned to SponsorPark to extend their reach to potential sponsors in a streamlined and effective manner.

Preferred partners?
While the obvious brands such as alcohol and energy drinks lend themselves well to this event, the clientele is 21-35 year old trendsetters with disposable income.  Other brands such as mobile phones, fashion, electronics, travel and auto would also be a great fit.  For more information visit their SponsorPark listing.

Spotlight on Sponsorship! SMPTE Annual Technical Conference and Exposition!

by Stephanie Lochmiller

30 08 2012

As a way to draw increased awareness and attention to some of the standup sponsorship opportunities on our site, we’ve set apart one blog per month to put the “Spotlight on Sponsorship”! If you have a premium level listing on SponsorPark, and would like to have your event featured, please contact [email protected] to submit your event, as we are currently looking to fill our 2012 Spotlight calendar. This month our spotlight shines on the “SMPTE Annual Technical Conference and Exposition”.

What is SMPTE Annual Technical Conference and Exposition all about?
SMPTE Annual Technical Conference and Exposition was established in 1918 as the annual meeting for the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers and has evolved into THE premier annual event for motion imaging and media technology, production and operations. This year’s Conference & Expo will be held at the Lowes Hollywood Hotel, Oct. 23-25, 2012.

As an accredited industry standards-setting body, SMPTE is also the industry's leading nonprofit association providing technology education and information to the motion imaging industry. SMPTE is all about creation, management, distribution and display of the moving image. This even offers three days of highly technical sessions, a high-tech exhibition hall and unparalleled networking opportunities great for sponsors looking to broaden their reach!

What Makes this Opportunity Unique?
SMPTE 2012 stands apart from other industry conferences by carefully selecting hot topics and notable names in the industry. It is an intimate event with high quality content: Organizations that are looking for a noncommercial atmosphere are drawn to SMPTE as a way to raise their profile, without blatant advertising. Last year, Sen. Chris Dodd, Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America gave the Keynote Luncheon address. This year, Anthony Wood of Roku has been confirmed to deliver the Opening Keynote.

Surviving Sponsorship in a Heated Economy
SMPTE  has seen changes in sponsorship programs with the changing economy and as a response, have created a wider range of options and price points. Despite the downturn in the economy, they have actually experienced an increase in Conference attendance over the past few years!
SMPTE also turned to SponsorPark to widen their audience to sponsors that may be interested in marketing to their audience, but outside of their immediate industry.  They’ve found an innovative way to find partners they couldn’t have found elsewhere.

Preferred Partners?
Outside of the motion imaging industry, sponsors in the information technology sector and consumer products industries would benefit from partnering with SMPTE 2012. SMPTE Members are highly technical and have an appreciation for the latest consumer technology items.  To learn more about SMPTE visit their SponsorPark listing.
