What is the ROCK THE BLOCK NEW YEARS EVE all about?
HindSight Entertainment Group introduces ROCK THE BLOCK NEW YEARS EVE, a new west coast tradition designed to bring the fanfare and excitement of Times Square to the Las Vegas Strip. The 2011 year will be rung in with the “NYE Guitar Pick Drop” an oversized LED guitar pick sliding down the 60-foot guitar on the new state of the art flagship Hard Rock Café Las Vegas, on Las Vegas Boulevard.

The NYE block party will begin one hour after the traditional closing of The Strip.  The 2nd floor balcony of the Hard Rock Café will then transform into the celebrity hosts lounge and the 3rd floor will serve as the main signature stage and epicenter of entertainment on the Las Vegas strip.  300,000 plus party goers on the boulevard will be entertained for five continuous hours by the nation’s top DJ’s, the recording industry’s hottest performers as well as local and national celebrity hosts.

Spanning over 3 miles by way of mobile LED video screens, the performances will be broadcast live at strategic viewing points on the Las Vegas Boulevard from the world famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign to the Hard Rock Café Las Vegas to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and ending at Fashion Show Mall where HindSight Entertainment will present “The Experience Village Plaza”, which will feature a festival style atmosphere with a concert stage, vendor tents, food and beverages.  Mimicking an outdoor nightclub, party goers will have a place to party for the night, while gearing up for the fireworks show, and the “3D NYE DROP” on the south side of the strip. 
  
What makes this property unique?
This event is the first of its kind on the Las Vegas Strip.  It is an opportunity for sponsors to engage and communicate their brand messages to over 300,000 people in an outdoor setting, in the entertainment capital of the world.  The exposure through branding, signage, outdoor billboard, digital media and activations mimics that of a miniature Times Square arena.
HindSight Entertainment is incorporating the latest technology to give brands exposure. Utilizing Ustream, Twitter, Facebook, a ROCK THE BLOCK NYE Mobile Application and LocaModa’s location based social marketing efforts, they will integrate sponsors into all of the social network channels through logo placements, mentions and calls to action. 

Surviving Sponsorship in a Heated Economy
The event realizes that sponsorship has become more challenging with the down economy, and is willing to trade opportunities for many of the components of the event.  They’ve also turned to SponsorPark to extend their reach to potential sponsors.
