As a way to draw increased awareness and attention to some of the standup sponsorship opportunities on our site, we set apart one blog per month to put the “Spotlight on Sponsorship”! If you have a premium level listing on SponsorPark, and would like to have your event featured, please contact Stephanie.Lochmiller@SponsorPark.com to submit your event, as we are currently looking to fill our 2011 Spotlight calendar. This month our spotlight shines on the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International.
What is Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International (FGBCFI) All about?
With headquarter offices located in Atlanta, Georgia the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International is made up of over 800 member churches and over one million members across the nation, as well as seven foreign countries with 300 member churches.
The FGBCFI Annual Conference is a family event, held this year at the Georgia World Congress Center, in Atlanta, Georgia. The three-day event held June 27-July 1, 2011 includes preaching, teaching, singing, educational and spiritual classes, health forums, life skills education, arts & crafts, live entertainment, contests and recreational activities for kids of all ages. Feed the hungry program feed over 1,000 people during the annual event and the 5K Walk/Run 4 AIDS is always an inspiration to the agencies the FGBCFI supports.
The annual event benefits the delegates, community, sponsors, and partners wholly, spiritually and domestically. Proceeds from the event are given to the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International to fund foreign missions, such as feed the children, underdeveloped countries and communities, catastrophes and daily operations. This year thus far, funds donated are $1.5 million dollars to other non-profit agencies and churches.
What makes this opportunity unique?
The FGBCFI prides itself on being a balanced group of religious organizations with a rich and diverse culture. This year, event organizers are offering mobile event, a new event software that allows for marketing of the entire event on smartphones. This offers potential sponsors yet another way to reach conference goers.
Surviving Sponsorship in a heated Economy
Event organizers tell us that they’ve worked to become more flexible with their partners in past years due to a struggling economy. They now work more with in kind sponsors and have made adjustments to what they can offer their delegates while still giving them a platform to reach conference attendees. They’ve also turned to SponsorPark to reach out to more potential sponsors at an affordable rate.
Preferred partners?
Event organizers prefer to partner with sponsors that have something to offer to their youth, young adults, and elderly, really making this a viable sponsorship option for all age demographics. More specifically, this year event organizers are focusing on educating high school seniors on how to apply for college and financial aid, as well as offering education on credit counseling to all ages. With such a diverse age demographic and educational interests this event should appeal to a wide array of potential sponsors!
