by Stephanie Lochmiller
8 04 2015

As a way to draw increased awareness and attention to some of the standup sponsorship opportunities on our site, we’ve set apart one blog per month to put the “Spotlight on Sponsorship”! If you have a premium level listing on SponsorPark, and would like to have your event featured, please contact [email protected] to submit your event, as we are currently looking to fill our 2015 Spotlight calendar. This month our spotlight shines on the “Talk, Listen and Learn about Fibromyalgia and its Overlapping Conditions.”

What is “Talk, Listen and Learn about Fibromyalgia” all about?
Talk, Listen and Learn about Fibromyalgia is the very first of its kind, Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis Symposium in the Chicagoland Area.  Fibro Patient Education and Support will be hosting a series of Patient Education Symposiums with a focus on Auto-Immune and Rheumatic Disorders July 26 - November 7, 2015. The events will be held at multiple locations in the states of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
According to the National Fibromyalgia Association, Fibromyalgia is a common and complex chronic pain disorder that affects people physically, mentally and socially. It is characterized by chronic widespread pain, multiple tender points, sleep disturbances, fatigue and often psychological distress. Symptoms can wax and wane, with severe symptoms being extremely debilitating and can interfere with an individual’s basic daily activities.

What makes this opportunity unique?
Fibro Patient Education and Support flagship program is Fibromyalgia Talks, hosted by Patient Navigator - Necie Edwards, on Public Access Channel 4 in Vernon Hills, IL and Channel 99 on AT&T U-Verse. Over 1 million households in the greater Chicago marketplace receive public access as a part of their basic cable service.

Each program will provide sponsors the opportunity to engage with participants via the talk show, e-mail, support groups, social media, podcasting, and onsite engagement. Each event will consist of a community health fair with sponsor exhibits, live cooking demonstrations, panel discussions with patients with Q&A, and presentations from Health Care Professionals.

By collaborating and partnering with Fibro Patient Education and Support, sponsors can connect and engage with the women's market.

Preferred partners?
Sponsors looking to connect with a female demographic are strongly encouraged to connect with this listing.  Sponsorship packages can be tailored to the needs of potential sponsors and include a variety of marketing tactics.
