PROFILES is an award winning celebrity interview program hosted by Mickey Burns and features celebrities from all walks of the entertainment and show business world.
PROFILES was selected as a 2009 & 2010 Telly Award winner. The Telly is the premier award that honors outstanding television programs internationally.
PROFILES premiered on the NYC Media Network (The official television Network of New York City) in September of 2003. Upon celebrating the programs 100th episode milestone in June of 2006 Mayor Michael Bloomberg said:
"Over the past three years your exemplary program has offered New Yorkers 100 opportunities to learn more about the long line of luminaries who have made our great city the entertainment capital of the world".
Later this year PROFILES will be celebrating its 300th episode milestone.
PROFILES is hosted by veteran Journalist Mickey Burns. His core audience consists of millions of discerning adults, well-educated and successful, who tune in to hear celebrities from all walks of the show business world engaging in intelligent conversation. Burns has become a favorite amongst celebrities who after sitting down with him, often comment that it was the best interview that they have ever done. Says Burns, "PROFILES gives our audience information and conversation that they just can't get anywhere else."
Some recent guests that have appeared on PROFILES include: Joan Rivers, Ernest Borgnine, Kathy Ireland, George Foreman, Dr. Maya Angelou, Mario Lopez, Joan Collins, Neil Sedaka, Tanya Tucker, Frank Caliendo, Duane "Dog" Chapman, Gloria Gaynor, Chris Harrison, Jesse Ventura, Christopher Plummer, Lou Diamond Phillips, Danny Glover and Billy Ray Cyrus, just to mention a few.
The PROFILES Series also has letters of intent to air in the following PBS Markets: PBS World, throughout the entire state of Arizona (5 Million Viewers), PBS Philadelphia (6.2 Million Viewers) and PBS Atlanta (3 Million Viewers). Once our primary sponsor is in place we will begin airing in these additional PBS Markets, bringing our viewing demographic to 34.2 Million viewers. We also intend to add additional PBS cities moving forward.
